If your pet does not receive its veterinary care at our hospital please have proof of vaccination and negative stool sample sent to our office prior to boarding. Records can be faxed to (315)478-2432 or e-mailed to stackteam@stackvethospital.com.

  • All dogs must have current vaccinations against Rabies, DHPP (Canine Distemper Combo Vaccine) and Kennel Cough (Bordetella/Intra Trac).
  • All cats must have current vaccinations against Rabies and FVRCP (Feline Distemper Combo Vaccine).
  • We require all pets to have had a negative fecal sample to help protect your pet against intestinal parasites. We require that the negative sample be tested within the last 12 months prior to boarding, so that it is up-to-date throughout the boarding reservation.

The Canine Influenza vaccine for H3N8 & H3N2 is recommended, but not required for boarding. For more information on Canine Influenza or to discuss if your dog should be vaccinated, please contact your veterinarian.

  • Each pet receives a personalized feeding schedule.
  • We offer a variety of dry & wet foods that suit your pets taste buds and nutritional needs.
  • It is important for us to know if your pet is on a special diet and if they have any food allergies. We recommend that if your pet is on a special diet to bring your own food to maintain their regular diet.
  • We have a large supply of blankets and orhtopedic beds to ensure your pet is comfortable during thier stay.
  • We recommend leaving personal blankets and beds at home so they do not get dirty or misplaced. Due to changes in your pet's daily routine accidents do happen. The kennel laundry is also shared with the hospital so we do not want to misplace any personal items after washing.
  • Dogs are walked individually 3-4 times daily in the fenced in yard.
  • If you have multiple dogs that will be boarding, they can go outside, play, and eat together with your permission.
  • We do not allow socialization or play time with unfamiliar dogs for their safety.

If your pet is on medication that is to be given while he/she is boarding, we require all medications to come in their originally prescribed vials or packaging. We will  not accept medication in plastic bags or daily pill containers.
